CNS Honors Day Celebration

Celebrate our exceptional CNS scholars who have earned College and Distinguished Honors for their outstanding academic achievements. Honors students are recognized based on their academic excellence and GPA. This family-friendly celebration is open to CNS honors students and their friends and families. Guests are invited to enjoy light bites, ShiftMakers mocktails, photo stations, and complimentary access to the museum as we celebrate our scholars’ achievements.

The 2025-2026 Honors criteria recognize two levels of academic excellence. Distinguished Scholars are students who have a 4.0, while College Scholars are those who have a 3.93*. Use the link above to learn more about this year's honors designations.

Honors students who RSVP to University Ceremony
must be checked-in at
Moody Center Loading Dock (South End entrance)
This college event is not a formal award program but a chance to celebrate with friends, family, mentors, and peers in a relaxed environment.
Formal recognition and cord distribution for honors students will happen at the 4pm University Ceremony. Honors students must register for the event through the University invitation from Provost Inboden. 

HONORS CORDS
Honors cords and medallions ARE NOT distributed at this college event. Cords and medallions are only guaranteed to those who attend the University event at the Moody Center.

POST-EVENT CORD PICK-UP

April 8th & 9th 8:45am-4:00pm, WCHogg 2.322
Cords and medallions are handed out on a first-come, first-serve basis and are not guaranteed. We have a limited supply of the 2024-2025 honors cords available.
You must have photo ID to pick-up cords; you are not allowed to pick up cords for other students. Students studying abroad or at an official UT sanctioned event can email events@cns.utexas.edu with their program details for alternate pick-up options. 

CNS will host cord/medallion pick-up on will be Wed, April 8th & Thurs, April 9th from 8:45am-4:00pm in WCHogg 2.322 (between the Tower and Welch Hall) while supplies last.
